Thom's question makes me interested. Here is my list :
Warriors : Acid and Bloodlight Eyes
Ranger : Hutto/Lulu
Mesmers : Obscura and Eun Jong.
Necro : Sheep
It is hard to say who is best monk, but as 2 monks go together, I will choose EW's monks ( Nick and Dephria) or EvIL's monks ( Soul Wedding and Only One Star). I mean when they play together.

Warror: Stefan and his beer belly
Monk: Alesia <3 shes so hawt
Necromancer: Claude and his beastly blood spike
Mesmer: Dunham and his leet distortion spamming skillz
That would be my all-star team right there...the other 4 party members would only slow them down.

Hmm....
Well.... I haven't done GvG in a long, long time... so I will go with:
Chris Simms
Carnell Williams
Derrick Brooks
Simeon Rice
Joey Galloway
Ronde Barber
Brian Kelly
Mike Alstott
Ryan Nece
Yeah... that should work.

I would play every slot and dominate.
Wait... that doesn't work in this universe.
I would go with my guild, some of the most competent players I have come across in-game. In my humble opinion, our GvG team is the best and could wipe the floor with any and all IWAY teams we were faced with
Party leader would be my guild leader: Karl (KARL I LOVE YOU!), and we'd have our very own SUSAN SUMMERS as either monk or flagrunner.

Well, this goes by popularity, seeing, hearing the names. I am sure there are better players out there with yet unnoticed hidden talents.

This is a silly thread IMHO. "Best" players indeed, as if there is some metric for "Best Overall Player". The game is much too situational to break things down to that point.

Quoted for truth, kinda.

I think people have "best" and "invincible" confused. It's about what they can do with what they're given. You know... It's the little things that add up to make a big difference. Good spatial awareness, reading and predicting the enemy's actions, using the terrain and jinking to avoid projectiles, bluffing signets to draw out interupts etc.
Warrior: Last of Master, probably. Bloodlight is definately good, too. I just like Last of Master more because he's the one usually teasing the Rangers with Healing Signet. I haven't seen them play since E/Mo's practically took over flag-running though. Oh and Jepp from iB, only seen him play a few times but I've spoken with him before. It's nice to know some people can be good at GW and not let it go to their heads.
I don't watch the other professions enough to really pick one over the rest I've seen.
